Attachment SKT roller shutters


SKT roller shutters may be used both in newly erected buildings and during modernization of existing buildings when replacing window joinery.

The system of built-in shutters is characterised by direct mounting of the shutter box on the window frame using an appropriate adaptation profile. These profiles are compatible with most profiles of window or door frames made of wood, aluminium or PVC. The boxes are made of very good quality PVC elements and their inside has been additionally insulated, thus increasing thermal insulation. The SKT Opoterm overhead shutter system from Aluprof has received a certificate of thermal permeability from the renowned research centre IFT Rosenheim. Tests have been conducted for boxes using EPS (Neopor) insulating material based on current standards and calculation methods. Very good parameters were obtained, e.g. the SKT 230/170 box with integrated mosquito net obtained a coefficient of Usb = 0.73 W/(m˛K), which is important, while retaining the high winding capacity of the system, which allows large glazed areas to be obscured. The system is also available in a variant with narrow guides made of extruded aluminium for maxi and mini profiles, which allow additional insulation of the frame, minimising heat loss.

In the case of buildings with very thin walls and no possibility of enclosure, there is a possibility of using a variant with the so-called rounded side profile. This is a very aesthetic solution that will certainly fit into any interior. This solution is very common on the French market.
